INSTRUCTORS’ TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION

Should a student wish to become an instructor, and meets the requirements, they need to participate in the Instructors’ Training Program. This Program can be taught either in an Instructors’ Course, which will be organized by the Hellenic Academy, or in private lessons with the Head Instructor. For people who live far from Athens, in Greece or abroad, the training can be done via online individual classes with the Head Instructor.

In the Instructors’ Training Program, the trainee learns how to teach, thus deepening further its own knowledge. The participation to this Program, which continues as long as the instructor remains active, is allowed only to those who have already mastered Basic 3 Level and only after the Head Instructor’s approval.

Under special conditions, professional instructors of different styles of Tai Chi Chuan, Martial Arts and Physical Training Systems (Pilates, Yoga, etc.), who wish to teach the traditional Wu Tai Chi Chuan in their clubs, are allowed to participate in the Instructors’ Training Program.

The Instructors’ Training Program, in addition to topics pertaining to performing Tai Chi Chuan, offers Didactics, Anatomy of Motion, Tai Chi Chuan Theory, Tai Chi Chuan Classics etc.

NOTE: All instructor diplomas are issued in two forms, one by the International Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan Federation, signed by Master Wu Kwong Yu and one by the Hellenic Wushu – Kung Fu Federation, with the recognition of the Greek State.

The instructors of the Hellenic Academy are entitled to take part in the coaching schools organized by the Hellenic General Secretariat of Sports (GGA), by the Hellenic Wu Shu – Kung Fu Federation, so that they can be certified by the Greek State through the GGA and can issue a Professional License.

In the Instructor Training Program, the Head Instructor of the Hellenic Academy teaches and examines the candidate instructors, after Master Wu Kung Yu’s special permission.
