Master Wu Yan Hsia -吳雁霞 (1930 – 2001)
The Fifth Generation : daughter of Master Wu Kung Yi
Master Wu Yan Hsia migrated to Hong Kong from Shanghai in 1948. She attended to the Academy affairs while training students and disciples. After the death of her brothers Master Wu Tai Kwei and Master Wu Tai Chi, she succeeded as the Chairman of the Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan Academy headquarters. From 1993 until her passing away in 2001 she was Gatekeeper of the Wu Style. She advocated practice of Wu’s Tai Chi Chuan all her life. She dedicated her whole being to the introduction and teaching of traditional Chinese martial arts to both eastern and western communities, in and out of Hong Kong. Her disciples come from all over the world. Her efforts in spreading the good of Wu’s Tai Chi Chuan have flourished.
Master Wu Yan Hsia specialty was the 108 Wu Style Tai Chi Sword Form.
